occurs when cancer has
spread to the bones that surround the cord causing compression and leg weakness. Untreated
this can lead to paralysis. Less common are cancers that metastasize directly to the cord (called intramedullary metastases see here). For meningeal (leptomeningeal carcinoma) go here. |
