using the oncology information system (Aria)
which is a comprehensive information and image management system
that aggregates patient data into a single, organized,
oncology-specific medical chart. With ARIA's electronic medical
record (EMR), one can effectively manage treatment for patients
undergoing medical or radiation therapies.
We are using the treatment planning system (Eclipse).
Eclipse is a comprehensive treatment planning system that simplifies
modern radiation therapy planning for all kinds of treatment,
including 3D conformal, intensity-modulated radiation therapy
(IMRT), electron, proton, and brachytherapy. With the rich
functionality in Eclipse, dosimetrists, physicists, and physicians
can efficiently create, select, and verify the best treatment plans
for their patients.

| With the Varian
21 EX linear accelerator with it's 120- leaf Millennium
multileaf collimator and portal imaging it is possible to
provide all aspects of conventional external beam
irradiation including electron beam therapy, 3D conformal
therapy and
IMRT. By combing
the
Acculoc system with the portal imaging it is possible to
provide daily re-targeting of the beam (IGRT).
More complex IGRT cases are treated with
Tomotherapy and
cases requiring sophisticated radiosurgery are treated with
Gamma Knife or
Cyberknife |
