Colon Cancer: Initial staging for extrahepatic metastases: The patient below underwent FDG PET imaging to assess for extrahepatic metastatic disease. The PET exam demonstrates uptake (black arrows) within two hepatic metastases (yellow arrows) and in the patients primary colon cancer (white arrow). No other sites of abnormal tracer uptake were identified. Bilateral urinary collecting system and right ureteral activity is also evident.
