MILLER, Rosemary M. Aug. 27, 1927 - July 25, 2008 80, of Seminole & Pinellas Park, died July 25, 2008 after a brief illness. Rosemary Scanlon was born in Alliance, OH, the oldest of three children and graduated from Alliance High School. During the war years Rosemary worked as a telephone operator and remembered helping family members contact their service men. She met James Miller when he returned from the war and they married in 1946. From 1947 to 1957 Rosemary had 8 children. She devoted herself to the raising of her children and care giving for her mother and mother-in-law. Rosemary & James later moved to Cleveland in 1966 and settled in Florida in 1978.
   Rosemary is survived by her husband James, of over 61 years; her brother Robert Scanlon of Virginia; seven children, Peggy, James, Robert, Brian, Mary Ellen, Kevin, & Tom; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Pinellas Park, Florida at 10 am on Saturday, Aug. 16. A reception will be held at Lake Seminole Square Retirement Facility in Seminole, between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm the same day. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to The Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760 or your local Hospice.
