Small Right Upper Lobe Cancer

The CT scan in this patient demonstrated a small nodule in the right  upper lobe (black arrow).

The images on the right were from a patient with a 1 cm sized right upper lobe lung cancer. Note the excellent conspicuity of the lesion on FDG PET imaging.

Response to Therapy

PET imaging has also been used to document response to treatment. In the case on the left, intense tumor (black arrow) and nodal (blue arrow) uptake can be seen to decrease following chemotherapy.
