  • Stage = T1c or T2a
  • Gleason 6 or lower
  • PSA 10 or lower
  • Volume < 60cc
Seed Dosimetry:
  • Iodine-125 / 0.28-0.05 mCi/seed/ dose 145Gy
  • Palladium-103/ 1.0 - 1.6 mCi/seed/  dose 125Gy
  • volume treated (PTV) adds 2-3mm anteriorly and laterally and 5mm on top and bottom to get target
  • PostOp CT includes calculations of V100 andD90.

Since the data shows that cure rates (based on PSA blood testing or free-from biological failure (FFbF) are the same (see tables below) they are comparing surgery with seed implants
